Pickup by volunteer Carl Relyea!Please bring your bagged, empty aluminum cans to this vacant lot on the corner of Rt. 321 and Old Tuckaleechee Road. This is the location where the Back Porch restaurant and later Walker's Catfish Cabin used to be before it burnt down. I will be there waiting in my burgundy Ford pick up truck.
If you are not able to meet me there then please PM me your address and set your cans out in front of your property so I can drive by and pick them up after 9:30 AM.
Please know we can only use aluminum cans. Most cans containing food products are not aluminum. Please do not crush your cans or put foreign items in them like cigarette butts.
The cans are accumulated and sold for scrap at various times throughout the year. The money is used to purchase clothes, toys, etc. that are distributed to children at Christmas. The organizers take advantage of on sale items throughout the year and store them until Santa Claus can make his deliveries.
