Tippecanoe Audubon Society will contribute to National Audubon Society's Christmas Bird Count. In its 125th year, this is the longest running citizen science project in the world. The area of our count is a 7.5-mile radius circle in Kosciusko County, centered on Oswego (north of Warsaw). Most counting is done by moving around the area by car or on foot. You need not go out for the full day, even part of a day contributes to the effort. It is also possible to count birds at a feeder from the comfort of home if you live within the count circle. Participation is free and open to anyone who is interested, but you must coordinate in advance with the compiler: Dave Hicks at (260) 982-2471 or [email protected].
