Christmas Bauble/Playing with Alcohol Inks with Tracey

Come along and try out a new media with Alcohol inks.

Alcohol ink isa vibrant, fast-drying, and permanent ink that is alcohol-based and waterproof. It works on a variety of both porous and non-porous surfaces, such as synthetic paper, glass, ceramic, and metal. The ink is highly fluid and can be used for techniques like pouring, dropping, and blowing to create unique, often translucent and layered, effects.

We will be using these inks to create Christmas Baubles and play around with them on different surfaces.

Suitable for ages 8+ and their carers. Please wear old clothes.

About the Artist

Tracey or 'Tray' is an abstract artist based near the town centre. She began painting with a charity called Artists in Mind, which helped people to use art in a therapeutic manner, especially for enhancing mental health and as a means for promoting wellbeing. Tray loves to pass on simple techniques to help people of all ages unleash their inner abstract artist and believes anyone can find enjoyment and reap benefits from creating art.

All materials will be provided on the day. You can take your finished Bauble with you after the workshop

There is lift access to the studio on the second floor for those with mobility issues. Toilets are located close by on the studio level, however there is a small flight of stairs to access these. Alternatively there are also toilets located on one level on the ground floor.

The nearest car park available to the venue is the multi-storey next to Huddersfield bus station. All details are found on the link below. The cost of the car park is £3.80 for 3 hours (all levels) or £8.60 for 10 hours (upper two levels only). There is a lift access from the multi-storey car park for those with mobility issues.
