* ABOUT THIS EVENT *This is the fourth year that Canal & River Trust has held a fun Christmas event at Delph Stables in Brierley Hill.
The stables sit alongside Dudley Canal, near the top of the historic “nine locks”, and are the last surviving canalside stable block in the Black Country. The event provides local people with free, fun activities, with a chance to make Christmas decorations, themed photo opportunities, and an opportunity for children to meet Santa Claus.
Visitors can enjoy a free tea or coffee while listening to (and hopefully joining in with) carol singers (led by Albion Street Church) who’ll perform alongside the canal and enjoy songs performed by Brierley Hill Theatre Company.
Well behaved dogs are welcome to join the walk, but must be kept on the lead at all times.

* PARKING OPTIONS *
There is no parking available at the site itself, but plenty of parking nearby. The closest pedestrian access from the road is via steps down from Mill Street, but there is sloped access further along the canal in either direction.
* ACCESSIBILITY *
Please note that the closest access is via steps (although there are step-free access points further along) and the section of canal includes locks so the footpath includes sloped sections.
