Ring in the holiday season with our tree lighting ceremony complete with fireworks, Santa, live music, holiday crafts, complimentary food, and more at Christmas at Central Park on Saturday, December 7 from 4 pm to 7 pm.Santa, Tree Lighting and Fireworks
Santa arrives from the North Pole on Green’s Tower 1 Firetruck at 5:30 pm to light our community Christmas tree with Mayor Rocco Yeargin. Fireworks immediately follow the tree lighting; then families are invited to take photos with Santa on the amphitheater stage. Bring your camera to capture photos.
Games, Activities, and Musical Performances
Beginning at 4 pm, enjoy festive photo opportunities and activities with friends and family including train rides around the pond, a cookie decorating station, and a letter to Santa station. Enjoy holiday music performances by Chris Casalinuovo from 4:15 to 5:15 pm and Green Middle School’s Harmaniacs from 5:15 to 5:30 pm.
Holiday Crafts and Refreshments
Enjoy free soups from Menches and Town Tavern, coffee and hot chocolate from Thirst Responders, and pies from Gardner Pies. Along with refreshments, stop by WinnieBay Crochet and our other crafters to shop for all things Christmas.
Parking & Policies
Parking is available at the Central Park lot on Steese Rd, the Central Administration Building overflow lot adjacent to Kids Country, and Green Memorial Stadium. Parking and admission are free. No registration required.
While dogs are typically permitted in Central Park, pets are NOT permitted during special events.
