About this Event
Come out and work with our Ecology team as we restore a former recreation area at Christie Lake Conservation Area.
We will be planting trees and shrubs as well as removing invasive plants to restore a previously-impacted area and increase native species biodiversity!
FAQs
What are my transporation & parking options?
Free parking is available for all of our volunteers in the parking lot off of Middletown road. Please be prepared for a short 10 minute walk to the project site. Carpooling is encouraged.
What should I bring to the event?
Please bring a reuseable water bottle. HCA will provide light refreshments and all planting equipment. You may bring your own garden gloves if you prefer.
What should I wear to the event?
Please wear long pants, work boots/rubber boots/closed-toed shoes for planting. Dress for the weather, as this event will take place rain or shine!
Can my friend join as well?
Of course! Each volunteer will need to register, and only registered participants can attned the event. Please have any additional family or friends register individually. This event is not suitable for children under the age of 15.
