About this Event

York St John University Centre for Religion in Society are proud to be collaborating with the Progressive Christianity Network to present Christianity Beyond Deconstruction. As part of a nationwide tour organised by the Progressive Christianity Network, the American theologian Thomas Oord will speak to us about faith deconstruction.

Join Dr Thomas Jay Oord, a philosophical theologian, and the author of over 30 books including 'The uncontrolling Love of God' and 'God After Deconstruction'. Dr Oord advocates an 'open and relational' approach to Christianity, which understands that the God who is love experiences what we experience, feels our pain and sadness and is not able to control our actions.

Expect answers for your questions, and questions for your answers as we explore Christianity beyond deconstruction.

Following the lecture there will be refreshments in the Creative Centre foyer.

Parking

There is no parking for any vehicles on site and ANPR cameras are in operation 24/7.
