About this Event
How do researchers identify Christian nationalism?
Americans who embrace Christian nationalism strongly agree with statements like:
“The federal government should declare the United States a Christian nation.”
“The success of the United States is part of God’s plan.”
“The federal government should advocate Christian values.”
Christian nationalism is a cultural framework thatadvocates a fusion of Christianity with American civic life. Christian nationalism contends that America has been and should always be distinctively “Christian” from top to bottom, and it aims to keep it that way.
Some Christians in America don't see anything wrong with that.
Other Christians say that the view of history is not accurate, those views are unfaithful, and that, that goal is un-American.
There is no denying this is an important and hotly debated issue now. Let's come together to speak our minds with civility and compassion and listen calmly and carefully to others.
We will hear from those who defend Christian nationalism and those who oppose it - all of whom call themselves Christian.
Come to Wellspring because Christian nationalism matters to people of faith and citizens of this nation.
