Kingdom Co-op, based at Humphrystown House, Co Wicklow (W91VW58) will be hosting a Christian homeschooling seminar on 16th September, from 10 am to 4pm. The theme is 'Educating our children for God's Kingdom'. There will be two teaching sessions, the morning one from 10 to 11.30 am and the afternoon from 1.30 to 3 pm. In between sessions there will be opportunity for fellowship and getting to know other like-minded families. Tea or coffee and an afternoon snack will be provided, but you will need to bring your own packed lunch.
There is a 5 euro charge per family to cover costs. To secure a place, please first message or email me ([email protected]), then Revolut the fee to Alison Bailey (087 096 4682) with a note referring to the seminar and stating how many adults and children you will be bringing, plus children's ages. There are limited spaces so I will let people know once we max out numbers.
Activities will be provided for children aged between 5 and 13. Younger children will need to stay with a parent, but there will be a playroom provided within earshot of the sessions. Older teens may either listen to the sessions or help out with a children's activity. The activities will be themed, following parables that illustrate the Kingdom of Heaven. Since one activity for each age group will be outdoors, please bring weatherproof clothing (eg boots and rain jackets) in case of rain. All children joining organised activities must be prepared to listen and follow the directions of group leaders, otherwise they will need to remain with a parent.
Kingdom Co-op, and the seminar, operates out of a church community on private property, but does not have full use of the location so there will be restrictions both indoors and outdoors as to which areas are accessible. In between sessions, parents need to be aware of where their children are at all times.
