October 12th is our Annual Pig Roast and Harvest Festival. We’re roasting a pig and holding a bake sale! We have free games and crafts. We will have free hayrides and a bounce house. The menu includes roast pork, cheesy or baked potatoes, baked beans and coleslaw, Texas Road House buns, Swedish rye bread, bars, cookies and ice cream. Drinks include milk, apple juice and coffee. Hot dogs are available as an alternative to roast pork.
We have a suggested donation for the Pig Feed is $12/adults, $7/5-12 years, 4 and under free. Take out is available. Profits from the pig roast and bake sale will go towards the Organ Repair.
Christ Lutheran Church is blessed with a pipe organ that has been used for many years. Originally built in 1927 (by an organ company started in 1897), the organ was moved from the original church building to the building on Main Street that burned in 2005. Miraculously, the organ survived the fire that destroyed the church building and sanctuary. After the fire, the organ was carefully dismantled and stored to be reinstalled in our current location. While in storage and during the reinstallation, several crucial repairs and updates were planned to keep the organ functioning. Unfortunately, full reinstallation was never completed because of the extensive work (and expense) that was required. We are now working to get the organ fully repaired. This fundraiser is open to everyone.
We have fun games, rides and crafts that are all free! Come and support the cause and have a fun day with family and Friends.
