Main Objective of the Conference:
The main objective of the conference "Christ Above Cultures" is
to affirm that Christ and his truth must be the foundation for our
way of thinking and living, above any cultural influence. It seeks
to equip participants to discern and act according to the Gospel,
challenging ideologies that oppose biblical teaching.
Who is this conference for?
Aimed at church leaders and members, this conference seeks to
equip them to discern cultures according to the Gospel and
advance together in God's mission, without cultural differences
being an obstacle.
Main Plenary Topics:
1. "Christ: The Supreme Knowledge that Redefines Our
Worldview" (Christian Worldview):
This plenary will address how the knowledge of Christ must be
the foundation upon which we build our understanding of the
world, our vision of life, and our relationships with others.
This knowledge transforms our worldview, challenging cultural
perspectives that do not align with the truth revealed in Christ.
2. "Christian Thought: The Basis for a Fair and Wise
Judgment" (Conduct and Critical Thinking):
In this session, we will explore how our decisions and actions
should be evaluated in light of our knowledge of Christ. The
believer's judgment should not be a cultural judgment, but rather
a judgment grounded in biblical truth, encouraging participants to
be critical thinkers who filter cultural influences through Christ's
teachings.
3. "Unshakeable Values: What Christ Establishes and Culture
Cannot Alterβ:
This plenary session will be key to discussing those values that,
as Christians, are non-negotiable and must remain unchanged,
even in the face of cultural pressures. We will analyze the
behaviors and ethical principles that Christ establishes and how
we should defend them in the face of trends and customs that
contradict His teachings.
4. "Culture in Perspective: What Is It and How Christ
Redefines It?β:
In this session, we will focus on defining what a culture is and
how it is formed. We will analyze the characteristics that define a
culture, how it influences people, and how we can identify those
that are aligned or in conflict with the principles of the Gospel.
Conference Methodology:
Each plenary session will have an interactive approach,
encouraging dialogue among participants from different cultures,
promoting joint reflection on how the Gospel is contextualized
and applied in different cultural contexts. We will seek to
integrate diverse points of view, always with the focus that Christ
must be above all cultures
