Please read FULL description before booking:
The Chorley Three Peaks are: Great Hill, Winter Hill and Rivington Pike. This is a spectacular 19 km / 12 mile circular walk from White Coppice, near Chorley, Lancashire. On a good day we will have far-reaching views over to Jubilee Tower on Darwen Moor and then, out towards the West coast.
The route will take us up over moorland, following paths to each of the three peaks, and back through Leverhulme's beautiful gardens before dropping down along easy reservoir paths.
Please note that parts of this route will be very boggy if it has been wet beforehand and this is a fairly strenuous route.
Total elevation 700m.
Well behaved dogs are welcome, but must be agile and able!
This will be the second of our CTT Block 2 walks. The aim will be to complete this route within 6 hours, including short rest / snack breaks. (See below for further details about what CTT Block 2 means...)
Following the success of our first block of Challenge Trail Training (CTT1), we are adding a second block of 5 walks every Saturday with increasing elevation with each one. These walks are aimed at those planning to join one of our long-distance Challenge Trails, who have reasonable fitness and are looking to build up to a pace of approx. 3 mph (5 kmph). However, you do NOT have to be booked on any of our Challenge Trails to join us! We will also repeat this walk at a later date at a more leisurely pace , later in the year...
These walks are individually priced (THIS ONE IS £12), but for anyone wishing to book on all 5 there will be a 15% discount (please message Abi for the code - 07733225251 or [email protected]), BEFORE booking. If you need some further information, please email or call.
