Choral Songs to Enlighten Hanukkah

The first Chanukah was celebrated in164 b.c.e. Festive rituals are celebrated in the home. Candles are lit, associated with the singing of blessings abd folksongs for children. The most famous was written in the 13th century. One of the loveliest compositions is Hanerot Halalu traditionally sung just after kindling of the lights.
