Do you love music? Do you like to sing? Are you looking for a community of people who like the same? Come join us for our Spring season! We are very excited to announce this Spring will be a celebration of our Artistic Director & Conductor's 20th year with us! We will be in partnership with the Cape Cod Chorale and a full orchestra to bring all 6 movements of Ralph Vaughan Williams' "Dona Nobis Pacem" to life with other smaller works TBD. We are a non-auditioned community chorus with members from across the South Shore and of every age. Our singers are welcoming, friendly, and most importantly of all, musicians at heart. And our conductor, Danica, is truly a joy. If you have missed singing with a choir and live somewhere on the South Shore, then we're the group for you!
Here's what our singers have to say:
- "I’ve been in this chorus for 35 years, on the board for 20 of them, and have seen 5 or 6 music directors come and go. I want you all to appreciate how lucky we are to have Danica now. Her patience, humor, kindness, and quiet pushing to perfection have made us the group we are. She’s someone special — not every chorus is as fortunate."
- "CAS has been such a blessing in my life. Danica just imbues the whole process with positive energy and the love of music. And for someone, like me, who did not know how to read music, I’ve learned so much. And I like to say that it’s the one time of the week that my mind is not racing on a million things, just focused on the music. Just a fabulous meditation of music."
- "From a first-timer, it was wonderful! At times it was an ecstatic experience, to hear the soaring voices around me, the beautiful swirling tones of the instruments, and to feel part of the sound and breath of the whole."
Sound like fun? Then we invite you to join us for our first two open rehearsals on January 14th and 21st. After these rehearsals, our group is final for the season. If you can't make either, but still want to sing with us, message us!
