Welcome all friends and whānau to see Choose Your Own Adventure! presented by the students of our 6 week course "Off-Script! an intro to longform improv". Choose Your Own Adventure! is a fully improvised narrative show where the audience gets to choose what happens next. It's like reading a Choose Your Own Adventure! book but without the reading. Should the explorers jump over the quicksand or try to wade through? You choose! Should the Evil Queen curse the princess or bake her a cake? You choose!
This show is presented by an incredible and diverse group of improvisors who have been studying longform improv with us for 6 weeks through the course "Off-Script! An Intro To Longform Improv". While our students range from quite new to quite experienced, this is all of their first time performing a full narrative improv show and we hope to see lots of friends and whānau come out to support them.
Improverished is an improvised theatre company who have been bringing joy to the stage since 2015. Specialising in long-form, narrative improv we have brought many of our beloved shows to the Pumphouse Theatre in the past and have two upcoming
seasons with our main company in September. It's Alive! and
Can I Get an Underground Location and a Mythical Creature? are coming to the Pumphouse for the September school holidays.
Please bring cash or EFTPOS Koha on the door to support our theatre company to continue to make our future performances and workshops accessible. We suggest around $3-8 per person.
