Families, friends, and neighbors are invited to celebrate the holidays with a festive day of fun during Choo Choo & Snowman, Too! on Friday, November 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Downtown Newton.This holiday celebration will transform Downtown Newton into a cheerful winter wonderland filled with activities for all ages. Guests can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, hop aboard a trackless train, explore local attractions, and take part in guided tours that showcase the charm and history of the area.
Families can also enjoy a free showing of Frosty the Snowman at the History Museum of Catawba County at 11:15 a.m. (where the first 50 kids to attend will receive free crayons and a coloring book!), festive wagon rides, and the always-cheerful golf cart parade!
North Newton’s Depot District will also be filled with activities for kids and adults alike, making this a perfect way to celebrate the season together. Visitors can stop by for festive photo opportunities, seasonal surprises, and family-friendly fun throughout the day.
