Choir Craze is a one day festival hosted by the Legacy Youth Chorale. Singers in grades 4 and up from around the Brainerd Lakes Area are invited to come together to workshop music and perform in the finale of a public concert at the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts. All activities will take place from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Brainerd High School. Registration is open through Monday, November 4 at legacychorale.org

The public is invited to attend the festival concert at 2:00 pm. This concert begins with the Legacy Youth Chorale’s fall program, Be the Light. Listeners will hear familiar songs such as “Bless Us All” from the Muppet Christmas Carol, “Christmas Canon” by the Tran-Siberian Orchestra, and “Somewhere in My Memory” from Home Alone.
The festival choir performs two songs as part of the concert finale:
'Sending You Light' by Melanie DeMore. This song invites audience participation on the simple, but powerful refrain. Verses will be performed by LYC soloists.
'Be the Light' by Franklin Willis. This upbeat gospel-style tune uses memorable phrases to encourage listeners to work together, shine, and be the light! This energetic finale will have the audience tapping their toes and clapping along!

This concert is by kids - for kids! Youth of all ages, including families with small children, are encouraged to attend.
Our events at Gichi-ziibi now offer assigned seating in the main floor section near the stage. Those tickets are available by online reservation. Other sections are general admission. We offer a name-your-price ticketing model that allows people to patrons to pay what they wish.
