Save the date!! (Share with Cast/Crew/Designers/Board)
January 26th! Final Strike Day for Choir Boy!!
And… Strike begins in how we plan and prepare ahead! Read the graphic below
Tools for success:
- Clean as you go! Make clean up and daily and weekly “To-Do”.
- Make note of anything set up for rehearsal or built for the show. How it was done might be of note. Who is responsible for clearing it may need assigned before opening.
- Things get messy when you were working solo? Reach out to the Producer/Production Chair and ask for a cleaning call!
EVERYONE works more than anyone sees.
-Designers and directors are imagining up to a year prior to opening.
- Actors are learning lines and music at home.
- Volunteers are building and painting and hanging and focusing and tuning after and before rehearsal hours.
EVERYONE is expected to strike together since we can’t always build/create together.
Cast, crew, designers, board members… it’s a time to show appreciation for one another through sharing the load.
Strike is where community energy revives and thrives. Where the volunteers from that show set the space back to neutral so the next production can hit the ground running.
