Chocolate Rainbow

Created with the needs of our Black LGBTQ+ community in mind, Good Energy Productions presents: Chocolate Rainbow Poetry Open Mic. It's time Phoenix's Black LGBTQ+ community (the CHOCOLATE RAINBOW) had a place to share, interact, and be FREE! A place where the COMPLETE YOU has a home. So come get on the mic along side incredible local and national featured artists and share your poetry or song. Just show up and sign up. Whether you are L, G, B, T, Q, or + or still unsure about your identity, know that you are OUR PEOPLE, hence the question " What’s Yo Flava??? " Find comfort in knowing that all genders and sexual orientations are welcome, that we will respect and honor each other's differences and experiences, and we welcome those that are unsure of their identity. This is an event for ANYONE and EVERYONE who supports the Chocolate Rainbow in Phoenix! The only thing not welcome is NEGATIVE ENERGY! And this first event is GOING TO BE INSANE!!!

Your host and feature poet this month is the one and only Nina Ross Wit Da Sauce. Nina is one of the BEST HOSTS you will every get to see. Her direct but funny style will keep you engaged and laughing through out the night.

This month, we're bringing you a special feature musical artist Chari' Joy. A product of Fort Worth, Texas , Chari began her musical career singing in church and found inspiration from artists like Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu , and Sade. She eventually began travelling for primetime TV show auditions like American Idol, X- Factor, and Sunday's Best. Not receiving the welcome she anticipated, that rejection fueled the young artist leading her to develop independently. With her healing delivery and smooth tones, Chari currently travels between New York, California, and Arizona to record.

And last but never least...our resident mixologist DJ Zima Blue will be spinning the kickback happening immediately following the show. That's right! From 8-10 pm we are going to let this music MASTER keep us on the dance floor and set the vibe to socialize and just have a hell of a night! HOW ARE YOU GOING TO MISS ALL OF THIS?!
