The Geortia Black Doula Network Brings you Chocolate Milk: A Breastfeeding Class for Black Families
Join us for an empowering two-hour, virtual breastfeeding education class designed specifically for Black families in celebration of National Black Breastfeeding Week. Chocolate Milk creates a culturally affirming space where expectant and new parents can learn essential breastfeeding techniques, overcome common challenges esperienced by Black women, and build confidence in their feeding journey.
Led by Certified Lactation Councelor and Doula, Kristina Cheek, who understand the unique experiences of Black families, this interactive class covers:• Proper latch and positioning techniques• Building and maintaining milk supply• Navigating cultural pressures and family dynamics• Addressing common concerns and myths• Creating a supportive feeding environment• Resources for ongoing breastfeeding support
Whether you're a first-time parent or expanding your family, Chocolate Milk provides practical tools, evidence-based information, and community connection to help you achieve your breastfeeding goals. Partners, grandparents, and support persons are encouraged to attend.
