Our #Chocollaboration workshops are a chance to explore the creativity and fun in crafting your own chocolates under the guidance of expert chocolatier Jane Williams. What makes these sessions extra special is the collaboration with other local producers and ingredients. Each workshop is focussed on celebrating the flavours and textures of the guest ingredients; to harness them in the chocolate making process... and to create something totally unique. Each session will involve a special behind the scenes interview with a maker, and/or tastings of their product. And then Jane will demonstrate and guide you through making your own chocolate creations. In this #Chocollaboration we welcome Sam Dobson from Cracked Bean Roastery... Sam will be showcasing 3 of her exceptional coffee varieties, explaining more about the characteristics of the coffee beans and the roasting techniques as you taste them:
Cracked Bean Blend
India Monsooned Malabar
Guatamala El Penon
Chocolatier Jane Williams will then demonstrate the chocolate making, and encourage you to be creative with the tools and ingredients of the chocolate factory at your disposal for the evening! For this #chocollaboration we will be focussing on:
Coating chocolate beans
Crushing beans to make chocolate ‘bark’
Infusing coffee into ganache to make chocolate truffles.
No previous chocolate making experience is necessary, perfect for a complete beginner, enjoyed by those with a lifelong chocolate mastery too.
Jane always says that the best bit about being a Chocolatier is testing and trying new flavours and techniques, and this is the experience you can enjoy in our #chocollaborations. We’ll teach you how to make the chocolates, but the flavour combinations, the choice of chocolate, the decoration are all up to you. The creations you take home will be yours and yours alone!
