About this Event
Head-Roc’s Chocolate City Rocks is proud to announce we’ve teamed up with Chromophore Artspace to produce our first “People of Culture” event in the River City!
Join us this coming Friday, March 7, 2025 during Chromophore Artspace’s RVA First Fridays Open House from 6p – 9p.
At 7pm, nationally renowned Public Historian, Cultural Preservationist, and Entrepreneur Kimberly E. Springle will interview Ayah Davis-Karim, creator of Chromophore Artspace!
Davis-Karim, an accomplished visual artist of Jamaican heritage with deep Richmond roots and similar ties to Chocolate City (Howard University graduate), is a tour de force in RVA’s heralded art community – having opened only the 2nd Black owned Gallery Space in Richmond’s Arts District.
During the month of March 2025, Chromophore Artspace commemorates the intersection of Ramadan & Women’s History Month through “A Ramadan Room of Her Own”, an exposition where founder Ayah Davis-Karim transforms a portion of the gallery into a Sacred Space featuring some of her works.
The unveiling of this installation takes place March 7, 2025 @ Chromophore Artspace (309 N Adams St.) during RVA First Fridays beginning at 6pm . In collaboration with Chocolate City Rocks, this evening promises high vibrational energy, sounds, scents, light refreshments, and connections with cool folks, and You’re invited!
Come prepared to be Empress’d and invest in art; shop collectibles, clothing and more!
We welcome your Con$cious Dollar$ Support and look forward to seeing you at Chromophore ArtSpace on March 7th!
