Based out of Phoenix, Arizona, CHKLZ (pronounced “Chuckles”) is an avant-garde EDM husband and wife duo redefining the electronic dance music scene. Blending explosive live percussion with innovative modulation techniques — described as DRUM KAOS — the pair craft unforgettable sets that bridge the gap between live performance and EDM, offering a sensory journey like no other. With a focus on high-energy beats and live instrumentation, CHKLZ delivers a performance that resonates deeply with fans to create experiences that go far beyond the music itself, pushing the boundaries of dance music today.
Since bursting onto the electronic music scene in 2021, CHKLZ has quickly become a household name. Receiving the title of Best Dance Artist by Phoenix New Times in 2023, the couple have earned festival performances across North America and beyond with their infectious blend of energetic, groovy, and deep beats, gracing stages of major festivals like Shambhala, Envision (Costa Rica), Wicked Woods, and Future Forest.
In 2024, the power couple performed over 65 shows in more than 45 cities as part of their international, independently booked Pawsitive Vibrations North American Tour. Their DRUM KAOS sound energized festivals, clubs, private parties, and more across the continent, leaving a trail of electrified crowds and memorable performances.
CHKLZ has even more touring and music releases lined up for 2025. They continue to spread their unique brand of DRUM KAOS around the globe and show no signs of slowing down as they solidify their place as one of the most exciting and distinctive acts in the dance music scene today.
About KTNY:
Bouncing with high energy, self-taught Kootenay DJ and music producer KTNY made major moves in 2023. His track “Greecy” held the #1 position on Beatport’s Bass House Releases, which earned himself Phunk Junk Records’ #1 Artist.
Playing multiple festivals across western Canada in 2023, including Bass In The Bush and Friendzy Fest, he also released tracks through KF Records, Phunk Junk and Pharoh Phonix.
The man behind KTNY, Derek Pettigrew, bought his first DJ controller at 13. While his roots lie in Creston, the move to Fernie and influence from DJs in the Elk Valley saw his creativity thrive. Driven by an appetite for the stoke, his creative expression craves the atmosphere of electronic music.
Fragrant with an assortment of house, halftime, and DnB, KTNY prides himself on maintaining an aura of cheekiness, topping off sets with dropping, dirty tunes.
He feels the rooms’ vibe and has a finger on the pulse of each beat, attracting bodies to the dance floor at any hour. KTNY’s core competency is to get the crowd going, and he never fails to deliver.
“Music is one of the only things on this planet that can switch my mood on a dime,” he says. “A song can remind me of memories, and it brings me back. It’s my safe zone. It’s my happy place... House is where my heart lies for sure."
