CHIRURGIE POÉTIQUE
A Solo Exhibition by Serapis | Curated by Sáng Huynh | Presented by The Art Vacancy
✨ Vernissage: Thursday, March 27, 2025 | 18H–21H
📍 Location: 51 Avenue Gambetta, 75020 Paris
The Art Vacancy is delighted to invite you to the opening of Chirurgie Poétique, a solo exhibition by Paris-based artist Serapis, curated by Sáng Huynh.
In this compelling body of work, Serapis transforms the canvas into an operating theater—paint becomes his instrument, and emotion, the raw material. Through layered compositions that blend precision with poetry, Serapis navigates the tension between chaos and order, light and shadow—inviting viewers into a visceral exploration of the spaces between thought and feeling.
Serapis approaches his practice with the precision of a surgeon and the intuition of a poet. Each painting develops through a meticulous process of layering, resembling an archaeological excavation that gradually uncovers profound emotional truths. Inspired by Eastern philosophy, Serapis creates abstract compositions that are both calculated and spontaneous, speaking to those who have navigated their own inner landscapes.
Curator Sáng Huynh brings her vision to the exhibition, inviting the audience to experience a dialogue between art, memory, and transformation. Rather than offering answers, Chirurgie Poétique poses questions about memory, perception, and the human condition.
