The Chinese New Year celebration that is going to make you glow!
Just like at our home in China, we, Ivy and Alex, owners of Jing Yuan teahouse (Zagreb), want to celebrate with you our happiest time of the year.
Thanks to your kindness, the celebrations on the first day of the Chinese New Year was fully booked only 2 days after the announcement!
But did you know that in China we don't celebrate New Year's just for one day? it is a two week celebration ending with the beloved LANTERN FESTIVAL!
To light up the direction of our lives - this time we will make traditional Chinese lanterns together. Along with them we will eat the special food of the Chinese Lantern Festival Yuanxiao - to pray for the smooth and successful year.
We want to share with you all of our traditional Chinese customs to bring blessing, good fortune and happiness to the upcoming Chinese Lunar Year of the Snake.
Since the major theme of the the Wood Snake is returning to nature and listening to the voice of nature you will then be a part of the most special tea ceremony by Ivy Zhao accompanied by an immersive plant music experience by a unique musician Aklea Neon! Yes, plants native to China will be singing to you. Aklea will be co-creating sounds, textures, rhythms and melodies with them.

Jump into the pool of celebrating happiness, cuz we don't know what makes us smile more: sharing a festive table with you, laughing together, showering each other with new year's blessings or dressing up! We encourage you to wear red colour or, if you have, your own piece of traditional Chinese clothing.

18:30-19:30 lantern workshop (let us make our very own CNY lantern)
19:30-20:00 special Lantern festival food: 3 rice balls(Yuan xiao) per person
20:00-20:45 Chinese Lunar year tea ceremony by Ivy Zhao
20:45-21:30 Immersive plant music soundscape experience by Aklea Neon

We love everything that comes in pairs, that is why a special offer for couples is available. No, you don't have to be romantically involved - just come together to the experience and choose FOR TWO option on the following slide.

Your couple ticket is reserved after you deposit a 30,00 EUR reservation fee to the account on the next slide (the remaining amount will be payed at the entrance).
To keep it as cozy and intimate as possible the number of spots is limited, so make sure you secure yours on time.
The Chinese New Year celebration has been included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List, and the Chinese New Year celebrations around the world are getting more and more recognised.
