Come experience the traditions of the Chinese New Year and celebrate the rich heritage of the Chinese culture in the CSRA on Saturday, February 8th from 1:00-3:00pm. The Augusta Museum of History presents this fun event in collaboration with the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of Augusta and the Augusta Richmond County Library. Free performances, activities, crafts, dancing and more all in the AMH Rotunda and Garden City Room. Liz Mason from the RC Public Library will have fun crafts for children and she'll bring the 3D printer in to print out animals that coincide with the year you were born and the Chinese Zodiac. JaNae Hill, local dancer, will share dance moves from the Chinese Fan Dance that are easy to learn for children and adults. And a quartet of Erhu (Chinese stringed instrument) players from the CCBA will perform at 1:00pm. All this plus more, so invite your family and friends and we will see you on February 8th in the Year Of The Snake.
