China Trip 2025 - China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center

Overview:

The China Trip program offers students an immersive clinical and cultural experience in Beijing, hosted by the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center (CBIATC). Established in 1975 and supported by the Chinese government and WHO, CBIATC is a globally recognized leader in acupuncture training. It has educated medical professionals from over 100 countries in acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, and Qigong. Participants will engage in clinical observations, lectures, and hands-on activities, learning from a respected institution that is a WHO Collaborating Center for Traditional Medicine.


Course Learning Outcomes
  • Gain practical skills and firsthand experience in clinical observation and diagnosis, guided by experts at the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center (CBIATC), a globally recognized authority in acupuncture training.
  • Deepen knowledge of acupuncture, moxibustion, and traditional Chinese medicine techniques used to address a variety of health conditions.
  • Explore the cultural and historical significance of traditional Chinese medicine, supported by CBIATC’s rich history and its role as a WHO Collaborating Center for Traditional Medicine.
  • Enhance understanding of how to integrate acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine into modern healthcare practices through theoretical and hands-on training.
  • Develop familiarity with the principles and methodologies of acupuncture education provided by one of the most respected institutions in the world, serving medical professionals from over 100 countries.



Deadline of Registration

March 31, 2025

  • A 20% tuition deposit is required for registration
  • Deadline to complete tuition payment: May 16, 2025

  • 50% refund available until May 28, 2025
  • No refunds will be issued after May 28, 2025

  • Bo Zhou City, China for herbal field learning activities



Clinic credits/hours given/transferrable

AIMC students completing the five-day CBIATC clinical and lecture program and including required assignments may choose one of the following credit options (Students can select only one of these options):

  1. One clinic unit (CP011, CP012, or CP013 only): Equivalent to 30 hours of clinical observation.
  2. Two didactic units: Equivalent to 30 hours of a didactic elective course.
  3. One clinic unit (CP411 or CP511 only, professional development section): Equivalent to 30 hours of doctoral clinical training.

The two-day herbal field trip does not qualify for the clinic or course unit/hours and/or CEUs.

5:00 pm - 6:30 pm - Dinner

6:30 pm - 8:30 pm - Classic Herbal Formula - Lecture (Dr. Li Hangzhou)


Sunday 8/24/2025

7:00 am - 9:00 am - Field Trip to Herbal Market

Look for dried herbs from the market; view, taste, smell, and differentiate processed herbs

9:00 am - 11:30 am - Visit Dr. Huatuo Museum - Introduce the life of Dr. Huatuo; learn about his medical contributions

11:30 am - 1:30 pm - Lunch

1:30 pm - 6:00 pm - Return to Beijing
