A research event for sharing work in the area of music and human-computer interaction. This is an opportunity to hear the latest research in music and interaction; network with peers; get hands-on experience with participative demos; and share your work and interests with representatives from music-interaction-related industry and charities.

Keynote speakers

We’re very happy to have two keynote speakers this year:

  • Artemi-Maria Gioti - Composer and artistic researcher working in the field of Music and Artificial Intelligence, Lecturer in New Media and Digital Technologies for Music at the University of Music "Carl Maria von Weber" Dresden, and a Research Fellow in Music and AI at University College London.
  • Nick Bryan-Kinns - Professor of Creative Computing at the Creative Computing Institute, University of the Arts London, exploring new approaches to interactive technologies for the Arts and the Creative Industries through Creative Computing.



Sunday Workshops

In addition to the Monday conference on Dec 2, there are two workshops taking place on Sunday Dec 1 that you are welcome to attend: Creating Two Player Entangled Instruments, and Musically Embedded Machine Learning Workshop. Location and access information

There will be plenty of parking spaces available in South West Parking - no permit is needed.





The CHIME Network

The CHIME network (Computer Human Interaction and Music nEtwork) is an EPSRC-funded research network in Music and Human Computer Interaction which launched in April 2022.
