Chilled Out Walk: Leeds City Centre South Bank Tour followed by Saturday Coffee Afternoon

Chilled Out Walks are social events for serious hikers and weekend strollers alike, providing casually paced walks through Leeds most beautiful spots whilst making new connections and increasing fitness. We usually meet near Leeds Rail Station for easy access from Leeds and the wider West Yorkshire area then do a 3+ mile walk (getting longer into summer!) ending back in the city centre or at a pub/cafe with public transport options back into Leeds.

I realised I booked Saturday Afternoon Coffee for the same day the next walk was due - so lets just do both, one after another! We'll meet at the usual spot (City Square under the horse statue) then cross the river for a magical mystery tour around the landmarks on the somewhat less trodden south side of the river Aire.
We'll check out:
Dark Arches/Granary Wharf (pictured)
Candle House/the locks
Bridgewater Place (the tallest building in the city!)
ASDA House
Royal Armouries
Canary Wharf
More... probably
The route will be 4 miles or less and there will be time for a leisurely break in the middle. The walk will conclude at Outlaws Yacht Club for the Saturday Afternoon Coffee event (no need to get another Evenbrite ticket, both events have been merged).
This event is weather dependant so if heavy, sustained rain is forecast I will delay it, so please check back here before setting off. Aim to arrive 15 minutes before the start time so if you're delayed you wont miss the group. If you are running late, let me know before the start time and within reason I'll hold the group back until you arrive. Although we are staying local, it can be difficult to catch up with a moving target and I will be busy hosting so not able to arrange a second meeting point. Get the 2nd or 3rd to last bus/train!

We don't charge for events but we do have running costs. You can help out by getting an entirely optional ticket at a price you choose. Donations of any size are appreciated, though of course we appreciate a lot of people are finacially squeezed these days, so its totally OK if you just want to attend the event - we'll be super happy to see you there.
