We are delighted to welcome David Cane-Hardy back to The Grove this September for another evening of atmospheric solo guitar in the Theatre Bar.David took up the guitar following the passing of singer-songwriter John Martyn, whose influence can be clearly heard in his playing. Using echo, reverb and delay, David creates a distinctive ambient sound, built from sustained chords, harmonics and melodic pulses.
His album New Beginnings, released last October, was produced with renowned music producer Chris Coco and is available on Bandcamp, Amazon Music, Spotify and Apple Music.
David’s unique style has received warm praise from Ban Ban Ton Ton blog, as well as radio support from Riley & Co on BBC 6 Music, Ruf Dug on Soup To Nuts on NTS, and Alex Rudder on KEXP.
Captivating, immersive and trance-like, this is a must for music lovers, guitar enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys hearing an instrument pushed into rich and unexpected territory.
This event will take place in The Grove Theatre Bar.
