About this Event

Join author Helen Kemp Zax for children’s storytime at Lovestruck Books!

We’re excited to host a magical reading event for young readers and their families on the morning of Sunday, October 19 at 10AM! The event will feature, a story that offers a gentle lesson on the importance of organization.

Bring your little ones, relax, and enjoy an engaging, soothing storytime that will encourage kids to make lists all while still having fun!

EVENT DETAILS

  • 10:00 AM: Settle in, grab a coffee and get ready for storytime!
  • 10:15 AM: Reading Begins – Enjoy the story with Helen.
  • 10:30 AM: Q&A from the audience of young readers.
  • 11:00 AM: Signatures and Salutations – Meet the author and get your book signed!
  • 11:15 AM: Event Wraps Up – Thanks for joining us! Feel free to explore more of the children’s section at Lovestruck.


Tickets are limited, so grab yours soon! If the event sells out, you can join the waitlist. Should any spots open up, you’ll have 24 hours to register before we offer them to the next person.

ACCESSIBILITY

Check-in will take place at our front entrance on Brattle Street. If you have any accessibility needs, you're welcome to use our side entrance (located on the right side of the building), which is wheelchair accessible and has a ramp.

Guests who would benefit from priority seating or any additional assistance are encouraged to reach out in advance — just email us at [email protected]. We're more than happy to make arrangements to ensure you feel comfortable and supported.

We’re always learning and looking for ways to make our events more accessible. If you have suggestions or feedback, we’d love to hear from you!


BOOK PICKUP POLICY

If you purchased a book with your event ticket but can’t make it to the event—and don’t request a refund—we’ll happily hold your book for pickup for up to 6 months after the event date.

We’ll be in touch via the email you provided at checkout to help coordinate pickup. After 6 months, if we haven’t heard from you or made other arrangements, we’ll consider the book abandoned property and may donate it or return it to inventory so it can find a new home.

ABOUT HELEN KEMP ZAX

Helen Kemp Zax loves to write poetry, especially rhyming poems. Abrams Appleseed will publish three of her Magical List books in 2025 and 2026: Little Witch’s To-Do List, Little Bunny’s To-Do List, and Little Elf’s To-Do List. Helen is co-winner of the 2021 YorkMix Children’s Poetry Prize, 2018 MG Katherine Paterson Prize winner, and 2019 Finalist. Her poetry appears in many anthologies and magazines. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband and their Aussiedoodle, Huckleberry Finn.


ABOUT LITTLE WITCH'S TO-DO LIST

Little Witch is very busy from morning to night—good thing she has a to-do list! From brewing potions to summoning bats to baking a toadstool cake, she has many tasks to complete before bedtime. But it’ll all get done; one thing at a time. And when all her tasks are finally completed, Little Witch is rewarded with a fantastically finished list and a hug from her mom.

Did you know we have both a cafe and a bar? Our bookstore is home to George Howell Coffee & Wine Bar. Serving up delicious espresso drinks, artisanal pastries and more seven days a week starting at 8 AM. At noon the bar comes alive with wine, cocktails, sweet treats, cheese and charcuterie plates, and more! Seating is available indoors and on our covered patio. Want to attend free coffee classes?
