For children & Families 4-11years old with tea, coffee and cake available to purchase for adults.
Children aged 4-11year olds are invited to Yalham Hayes Flower Farm for a magical and creative workshop learning about eucalyptus.
At 11am Children will be greeted at the campfire by Elsie and Jeanette whilst parents have the opportunity to enjoy delicious cakes and coffee available to purchase by pre-ordering with booking or on arrival to the Flower Farm.
Children will be introduced to the flower farm and begin session by learning about eucalyptus and burning aromatic dried leaves in the fire.
We will then safely explore the Flower Farm in search of eucalyptus. Children will be safely supported to use tools and materials to harvest leaves which will be placed in to water over the fire to create a natural dye. Children will then learn to prepare provided bandanas to tie dye using the campfire crafted dye.
Whilst the dye sets in to the t shirts will bake home made apple pies on the fire with locally sourced apples. We will also make eucalyptus crowns.
We will end the session by retrieving the dyed clothing items ready to take home.
