We are thrilled to be partnering with the African Studies Program here at UW-Madison to present a children’s book entitled “Egyptian Lullaby” by Zeena M. Pliska (Author) and Hatem Aly (Illustrator). We will be reading the book to the children, as well as introducing basic Arabic words, teaching basic facts about Egypt, present a display of Egyptian artifacts, create an art project based on the book, and sample Egyptian cuisine! This is part of a series that introduces children to award-winning children’s literature that celebrates the diversity of art, culture, food, and language across the African continent. This program is free and for all ages of children & their families.
