Build a strong foundation for teaching yoga to children. Foundations Training integrates child development and children’s yoga teaching methodology using lecture, discussion, and practice clinics for each developmental stage. Learn essential teaching techniques for engaging children in developmentally appropriate yoga and mindfulness practice.
Our interactive training creates a supportive learning environment, weaving learning, connection, and practice together. Learn how to plan and lead a children’s yoga class using the core components and key elements of a successful yoga class for children.
Build confidence and teaching experience through small group teaching clinics, extensive training resources, and planning and guiding a children’s yoga class with your cohorts as the Training Capstone. This applied experience, within a comfortable and supportive environment, is integral to developing well-prepared and confident teachers.
Focused on teaching children ages 3-11, Foundations Training is the cornerstone of the 95-Hour Training Program or can be taken as a stand-alone teacher training for those looking to incorporate yoga into their current work with children. After successfully completing Foundations Training, participants will become Yoga to Grow Level 1 Teachers.
This training is registered with Yoga Alliance. 34 CEU's are available for RYTs
