Children's Workshop: Ikebana, The Art of Japanese Flower Arranging

Register by August 18 at noon.

This is a class for just children, but admission to the gardens is included in the registration fee for the child and also one parent.

Irene will teach a children’s Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging workshop. Ikebana, is a national Japanese treasure, which is over 500 years old. Irene will also share the history of Ikebana and show the traditional tools used for creating an Ikebana arrangement.

A floral container and floral materials will be provided with a separate $10.00 materials fee paid directly to the instructor.

Please bring scissors to this workshop.

Irene Gomulka has given numerous, demonstrations and taught Ikebana classes at Epcot, Leu Gardens, Mennello Museum, multiple Garden Clubs and teaches ongoing workshops. Irene is a licensed instructor in the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. She is the current president of the Ikebana International Chapter in Orlando and the Chairperson of the Sogetsu Orlando Study Group. She is also an International Judge for the Ikebana Gallery, which recognizes Ikebana student arrangements.

Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit. 

Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
