About this Event
Did you know that the Hancock-Clarke House was once home to a dozen children who lived through the American Revolution? Just imagine what that was like! Join Lexington History Museums and local children’s book author Sabrina Bhattacharjya for a special tour of the museum from a kid’s point of view. What would your job be in the family? How would you stay warm in winter, and where would you sleep? When times got scary, how would you feel safe? We’ll explore the house through the eyes of Betty Clarke, who lived there in 1775, as we work our way through Bhattacharjya’s book The Midnight Writer and make a historical craft! Recommended for children grades 1 - 3.
