She lives in Wisconsin with her husband, their two small children, and their dog, Loki. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, building sandcastles at the beach, and reading. She was inspired to write Sammy Goes to the Doctor to show her son what to expect at the doctor. Sammy is based on her goldendoodle who was her son’s best friend prior to passing away from cancer.

Sammy was based on her Labradoodle who, prior to passing away from cancer, was her son’s best friend.
