Supporting the next generation - we are delighted to be offering this exciting 2 day Nature & Permaculture programme for children from 4yrs to 16yrs on August 19th & 20th with the amazingly talented Annette Corkery from Scéalta Beo and Creative Ardagh -As part of the Earth Activism and Social Permaculture gathering with Starhawk and Alfred from 12P Permaculture Design.., we are offering a standalone two-day programme for children aged 4 to 16.
Open to all – including local families and children not attending with parents – this nature-based experience gives young people the chance to explore, play, and learn through a range of creative and ecological activities.
Led by Annette Corkery, an experienced Children in Permaculture practitioner and Heritage in Schools Specialist, the programme is designed to nurture confidence, environmental awareness, and a sense of connection to nature.
Outdoor exploration and sensory nature connection
Biodiversity games and learning through play
Storytelling inspired by folklore, plants, and place
Nature-based crafts and creative journaling
Group projects inspired by permaculture principles
A balance of active fun and quiet reflection in nature
Facilitator: Annette Corkery – Heritage in Schools Specialist, Children in Permaculture practitioner, Garda-vetted and fully insured
Children aged 4–6 may attend only if accompanied on site by a parent or guardian attending the main event
Children aged 7 and over may attend without an accompanying adult, including local participants not enrolled in the main course
€80 per child for both days (Course only)
Or €40 per child per day (Day bookings welcome)
Lunch options:
Children can bring a packed lunch each day
Or lunch can be provided on site for an additional €15 per day
