Children's Festival Best Dressed Competition

Showcase your creativity and dress up to the theme of Nature's Imaginarium to snag some prizes!

Dress up your little ones as a cute insect, an adorable animal or even a beautiful plant—anything goes as long as it is inspired by nature! Register your kids for the competition happening on Sat, 24 Jun 2023, 3.30pm to 5.30pm at Supertree Grove Lawn, Gardens by the Bay, to showcase their outfits on stage with a mini catwalk or performance and win attractive prizes. Pre-registration is required and limited to 15 slots only, with no entry fee needed.

Top prizes include a Nintendo Switch Lite and other items worth up to $1000 in total.

Kids without an outfit can also join in the fun with free face/hand painting to look like their favourite animal or insect. While you’re in these fun outfits and looks, pose for a photo with your family at the complimentary photo booth for a little souvenir!

Entrants will be judged based on 4 key factors: Overall outfit, Confidence, Sustainability and Showmanship, for a maximum of 100 points as shown below.

• Theme depiction - 20 points

Outfit description to be sent to Event Organiser at least 1 week before the competition. Outfit will be judged based on description and relevance to the theme. The description should be less than 500 words and include what the outfit represents, the inspiration for the outfit and explain why it fits the theme.

• Originality of outfit - 20 points

Showcase creativity in the outfit. Be imaginative and unique in the presentation of the costumes.

• Style - 20 points

Overall look of the costume with accessories or headgear (if any) should be complementary.

The entrant is encouraged to wear something that makes them stand out in a positive manner. They should look confident and happy in their outfit.

Outfits are highly encouraged to be made from recycled materials wherever possible. You may wish to also highlight these elements in your outfit description submission.

Contestants are given 5 minutes of stage time. Make full use of the stage to present a performance that can showcase the outfit and impress the judges!

1. Organizer reserves the right to change the prizes for items of a similar value without prior notice.
2. Judges' decisions are final.

By entering this competition, you consent to have your photos taken and published for marketing purposes.

Contestants are expected to report on time and be present throughout the duration of the competition. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

Event Organiser is not liable for damages or injuries from the stage performances due to contestants' negligence or wilful disregard of safety guidelines.
