We are holding a Children's Community Easter Egg hunt during the Easter Train Rides on Saturday 19 April (including a night hunt) and Sunday 20 April at Westland Industrial Heritage Park. You can arrive at anytime and we will register you for the hunt, let you enjoy a train ride while we hide the eggs and then take you by tractor to the hunting plot. Once you find the decoy egg with your name on it, bring it back on the tractor to the Easter Bunny who will hand you the real deal. We’re planning on a continuous hunt - so you should be ‘done’ within 30-45minutes of registering i.e. if you register at 11am you will probably be finished by 11.45am. As this is the first time we're holding this event, please be tolerant if we're slower or faster!
We ask that everyone uses the tractor rides to avoid accidents on the track to the hunting plot. During the night hunt, please bring a torch.
Parents will need to supervise the kids to make sure they find the egg with their name and that the kids stay in the designated area.
If it’s raining and the trains aren’t running, we’ll be using one of the large sheds on the site, so the egg hunting can still happen.
The experience costs $2 including the train and tractor rides and the egg hunting. This is a fundraiser for the park.
The times for registration are:
Saturday 10am - 1.15pm
Saturday 5pm-7.15pm
Sunday 10am - 2.15pm
