About this Event

Children's Books Ireland's Annual International Conference is back!

The Children's Books Ireland International Conference is a weekend-long celebration of the very best in children's books. Taking place in September, this annual event is a unique opportunity to critically reflect on the impact, imagination and importance of books for young people. Anyone with an interest in and a passion for children's books is welcome to attend and participate in what is always an outward-looking, lively and thought-provoking event.

Inspired by storytelling, fairytale and a global event which shall not be named, All the Way Home asks attendees and speakers to reflect on home, its various iterations and meanings and what the return home signifies.

Returning to Light House cinema in Smithfeld, this year's line-up of speakers includes Maisie Chan, Joseph Coelho, Eoin Colfer, Nadine Aisha Jassa, Chris Judge, Dr Patricia Kennon, Hannah Lee, Alan Lynch, Steve McCarthy, Laureate na nÓg Áine Ní Ghlinn, Colm O' Cuanacháin, Jane O' Hanlon, Dr Melanie Ramdarshan Bold, Alex Wheatle and Katherine Wilkinson. The full line up will be revealed in the coming weeks.

*Please note tickets for Children's Books Ireland members are better value than those for non-members, this is just one of the perks of membership. To join Children's Books Ireland as a member or to renew your membership please follow this link, then return to purchase your tickets.*
