Is there a budding bonsai artist in the family? Nurture their creativity and love for nature at the Children’s Beginner Bonsai Workshops. This engaging and hands-on experience is perfect for young enthusiasts aged 8 - 16 years who are eager to learn the art of bonsai.Each session will include:
- An inspiring Guided Tour of the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection of Australia.
- Hands-On Bonsai Creation under the guidance of our educators.
- Take Home your newly created bonsai, complete with a care guide to help nurture and grow your tree long after the workshop has ended.
- Education and Fun as the experience fosters creativity and instils a sense of responsibility as children learn to care for their bonsai.
It’s an excellent way for young minds to connect with nature and develop a lifelong appreciation for this ancient art form.
Good to know:
-Bookings are essential as places are limited.
-Hand washing and accessible toilet facilities are available in the Terrace Room.
-If children are unwell, we ask that you please stay home.
-Parents/carers can drop off and return for pick up or alternatively sit back and relax in the Arboretum Café.
