This workshop aims to provide parents, guardians, and caregivers with practical strategies and tools to effectively manage children’s behaviour and promote a positive home environment. The session will start with a 1.15 workshop focused on managing children’s behaviour with 45 minutes for an open parenting surgery.
The topics include;
1. Understanding Children’s Behaviour – Factors influencing behaviour – Developmental stages and their impact on behaviour – Identifying triggers and patterns
2. Effective Communication and Connection – Active listening and empathy – Encouraging open communication – Building a strong parent-child connection
3. Positive Discipline Strategies – Setting clear expectations and boundaries – Reinforcing positive behaviour – Implementing consequences and problem-solving
4. Navigating Challenging Behaviours – Tantrums, defiance, and other common challenges – Strategies for managing and preventing challenging behaviours
5. Surgery – An opportunity for participants to ask specific questions and receive personalised advice
The aim is to give a deeper understanding of children’s behaviour and its underlying causes – Learn practical communication and connection-building strategies – Discover positive discipline techniques to manage behaviour effectively – Receive personalised advice and support during the surgery session.
