Elena Bentley (MA English, University of Toronto) is a multi-genre writer and proud Métis aunty. Her poetry chapbook, taliped, was a finalist for the 2022 Vallum Chapbook Award, and in 2023 it was published by 845 Press. Recently, Elena was shortlisted in CANSCAIP's 2023 Writing for Children Competition (Young Adult Category). Elena is the Interim Editor for Grain magazine.
Is There a Roogaroo in You?

Wildred Burton grew up in the Midnight Lake area of Saskatchewan and for over 30 years taught in La Loche, Regina and Saskatoon, ranging from Kindergarten to the post-secondary levels. Wilfred is retired but spends his time volunteering or doing contract work for various school divisions, tribal councils and publishers. His love of Métis storytelling, fiddle music and dance was a gift from his mother, Georgina Nolan, and is a gift he loves to share with others through his picture books.
Fox and Bear

Miriam Körner, originally from Germany, lives near La Ronge with her husband and their 10 sled dogs. She is an award-winning writer and children's book illustrator. The artwork for her newest book, Fox and Bear, is created out of reused cardboard.
