Did you know? Our Spring Garden Fair has children’s activities!Master Composters will answer all your compost questions while children build a miniature backyard compost bin. They’ll learn the basic how to’s and science of composting, and how to use their compost.
Next to the Master Composter booth, the Master Gardener booth volunteers will help children create a science experiment, planting luffa seeds in “just soil, soil + compost, and soil + vermicompost.
We are happy to answer all your questions while we assist children in planting their experiments.
Luffas are a fun plant to grow along a fence trellis, an arbor, or just in a pot with branches creating a climbing structure. Pick them early to cook or let them grow, then harvest and use them as sponges.
Don’t miss the Spring Garden Fair, Saturday, April 27th, at Martial Cottle Park.
