About this Event
About the Class:
Unlock your child's creativity at our hands-on sewing class! This weekly course is designed for young beginners in grades 2-7. Students will learn essential machine-sewing skills while completing exciting projects: a book cover, pillowcase, tote bag, and a pair of shorts, plus two other projects!
All materials and tools are included— but a child can bring their own sewing machine if they own one. They can also bring a snack and drink with them to class.
Please note: There will not be a class held on March 12th, 2026.
About the Instructor: Stephanie Dauenhauer
I have been sewing over sixty years and have been teaching sewing for over 45 years.
I believe you learn by doing, so all of my classes include sewing and finishing a project.
I believe sewing should be fun and relaxing, taking your time to enjoy your sewing as your project comes together.
