The East of England Children and Young People's Diabetes Network would like to invite you to join us for our families education day entitled ' Diabetes technology - what is it and what can it do for you?'
The session will take place at Bethel Baptist Church in Swavesey from 9.30am - 4pm on Saturday 8th February 2025
The cost of attending the event is £2.50.
Tea and coffee and a buffet lunch will be provided.
There is plenty free parking at the venue.
The day is open to all parents and carer's of children and young people with diabetes.
The day will give you the opportunity to learn more about diabetes technology such as insulin pumps, CGM and hybrid closed loop. Diabetes expert HCP's from across the region will lead sessions introducing you to the concept of diabetes technology and discussing how your child / young person can use it to improve their diabetes management and their long term outcomes.
There will be a session on all you need to do to prepare for getting diabetes technology and a session from one of our leading dietitians looking at how you can optimise your carb counting skills to ensure your get the most of the technology.
We will have representatives there from the main diabetes technology providers who will talk you through how their particular device works. You will also have a chance to visit them at their stands and handle the technology taking a closer look at how it works in practise.
