April is Child Abuse Awareness Month... Child abuse and neglect can be prevented. Certain factors may increase or decrease the risk of perpetrating or experiencing child abuse and neglect.Preventing child abuse and neglect requires understanding and addressing the factors that put people at risk for or protect them from violence. Everyone benefits when children have safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments. We all have role to play.
To bring awareness to this cause and to provide children and families to become more comfortable with those who work every day to keep the children in Franklin County safe, FCDSS is hosting a family fun day. There will be vendors to shop from, free carnival games, face painting, assorted food, a bouncy house, and more!
