Chiff Chaffs are a Belgian band based around Courtrai and Tournai, consisting of
Gilles 'King Rat' Deschamps, Autys Toxico, Jantie Flyer and Nolf Kaka. Formed in mid 2020 during the pandemic and various lockdowns, the band has had time to develop a unique and distinctive wild sound that will appeal to many people in
the underground circuit. The band members all come from very different musical backgrounds, but oncethey started playing together they found that it meshed so well and sounded
unique, even though the main idea was to make raw 60s punk, chopped up with instrumentals and hipshakin' tracks from the 50s. The result is music that is an eclectic mix, ranging from breakneck speeds to broken-hearted beats, from raw instrumentals to multi-voiced screams, going from sad to ragin’ mad to ecstatic in less than 60 seconds. All four of the members are busy with creative
projects outside the music circuit as illustrators, tattooers and animation.
