About this Event

Join us for a captivating Soul Session with Ruben Molina—renowned author, historian, and DJ—as he delves into the rich history and vibrant sounds of Chicano Soul. In conversation with Jeff Kollath, Molina will explore the origins of this unique hybrid style of soul music that thrived in the Mexican American communities of Albuquerque, Phoenix, San Antonio, and Los Angeles.

As a special highlight, Molina will curate and discuss rare singles from the Stax Museum's Bob Abrahamian Collection—an extraordinary archive of over 35,000 rare records that illuminate the legacy of lesser-known artists from the 1960s. Learn more about the Bob Abrahamian Collection.

Free admission!
